Itron Philanthropy - 2007

2007 was an exciting year for Itron corporate philanthropy—the company funded more than $350,000 in direct grants in our communities and we were named one of the 'Top 100 Corporate Citizens' in the U.S. We also began funding capital campaigns, donations of $25,000 or more spread over a three to five year period. Those organizations receiving capital campaign funding ranged from education to health care.

In the international arena Itron continued to support Water for People, www.waterforpeople.com, and their continuing mission to bring clean water to villages in Third World countries. With the addition of well-water women and children are now able to go to school each day and water-related health issues have been minimized. As a sponsor and a representative for Water for People, Itron participated in a Corporate Social Responsibility panel at the 2007 AWWA tradeshow.

In 2008 the Itron philanthropy program will continue to reach out to the employees, our customers, our communities and our world. Together we continue to make a difference and help give Knowledge to Shape the Future.
